The tactical exercises were conducted in waters of the estuary of the river Buh near Mykolaiv with the participation of the marines, surface ships, and boats, as well as naval aviation aircraft of the Special Forces, the Navy, the Air Force, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The troops were focused on improving their practical skills in a dynamic environment close to real amphibious landing on an unequipped coast and the capture and retention of the bridge-head as well as the inter-specific interactions.
The tactical exercises were aimed at preparing the units of the Ukrainian Navy for potential seaside scenarios, including in Mariupol.
