Foreign Minister of Japan F. Kishida confirmed the position of the Government of Japan on support of Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and readiness of official Tokyo to provide all necessary assistance to Ukraine both at the bilateral level and in the international arena.
Both Ministers highly praised signing of the Agreement on promotion and mutual protection of investments between Ukraine and Japan in Kyiv last month.
P.Klimkin supported the proposal of F. Kishida to hold the Third meeting of the Japan-Ukraine Joint committee for the cooperation to advance aftermath response to accidents at nuclear power stations within this year.
Ministers also discussed security situation in Europe and Asia, particularly the counter-terrorism measures, cooperation of both Sides with the European Union, Japan-GUAM dialogue, the United Nations reform etc.
